Hamptons Wedding Photographer
We first came out to Montauk in 2010 and have been finding reasons to go back ever since. Life slows down out there to a speed that suits weddings. Dinner runs long. Somebody always ends up on the beach after.
We’re Trent and Dara. We photograph Hamptons weddings on 35mm and medium format film alongside digital, from East Hampton out to the end of the island.
Plan for the Wind
The ocean decides a lot of things out east. On the beach at Crow’s Nest, Danielle’s veil took off during portraits and Michael couldn’t stop grinning. We’d been hoping for exactly that.
Wind is a gift for photographs and a headache for hair and paper goods. We’ll tell you where on your property it’s calmest, and where it’s worth letting it do its thing.
Summer Isn’t the Only Season
Marni and Michael married at Gurney’s in Montauk in December 2016. Black tie, a cold beach, and a navy tuxedo with a velvet bow tie. Marni walked toward the water with Michael in her J. Mendel gown and never looked back. Later she kicked burgundy velvet heels up on his lap while the toasts went on.
An off season Hamptons wedding means easier traffic, open rooms for your guests, and a sun that sits low over the water for most of the afternoon. We’d do another one tomorrow.
Hamptons Venues We’ve Photographed
Longhouse Reserve, East Hampton. Sunny and Evan married here in October 2021. When Sunny walked out of the house that morning, her friends lost it by the pool.
Crow’s Nest, Montauk. Danielle and Michael in June 2023. She spent a quiet minute at the window looking out at the marsh before the ceremony.
Gurney’s Montauk. Open all year, right on the ocean.
The Maidstone Club, East Hampton. Charlotte and Sutton, in late afternoon light that makes us glad we still carry a film camera.

Getting Out East
A Friday on the Long Island Expressway in July can take twice as long as the map says. Build that into the getting ready timeline. For guests, the Jitney or the LIRR and a rental close to the venue make the weekend much easier.
What Couples Say
“I can’t speak highly enough of Trent and Dara. Not only are they incredibly talented, but they also have a sense of calm that makes the process feel completely effortless. Their work captures the emotions and subtle intricacies with such graceful perfection - you feel like you are transported into each moment with every photo. I couldn’t have asked for a better team!”

Questions We Hear a Lot
Where in the Hamptons do you photograph?
Anywhere from Southampton out to Montauk, plus Shelter Island.
Do you shoot off season weddings?
Yes. December at Gurney’s is one of our favorites.
Do you shoot film or digital?
Every wedding is shot on both. The film is 35mm and medium format, and Super 8 motion picture film is available if you’d like the day in motion too.
How far ahead should we book?
Summer Saturdays out east book early. A year or more ahead is the safe bet.
