The official start to summer is this friday, and with summer comes vacation and relaxation. Next week we are heading to one of our favorite spots….MONTAUK! We cannot wait to get back to the surf lodge for the beautiful views, laid back vibe, and of course the stand up paddle boarding! Cheers to a great summer!
I’ve written and then re-written this blog post…trying to find the right words, but I just couldn’t find them. Being a part of Mandy & Mal’s wedding day in Central Park was one of the favorite moments I’ve had photographing weddings. The day was just beautiful, Mandy & Mal were beautiful, and their families beamed with absolute joy as they celebrated the love these two women have for each other. Mandy & Mal are from South Louisiana, not far from where I grew up. Mandy searched and searched for new york city photographers to shoot their central park vows, and as luck would have it, she found our site. Only later did we realize that we had so many mutual friends. It’s beautiful how life works, and how connected we all. After they said their I-Do’s Mandy & Mal surprised their families with a Louisiana Jazz Brass band to do the traditional New Orleans second line through the streets of the Upper West Side. New Yorkers got a taste of how we do things in the south, and I think they all liked it (a lot).
I so excited to share this beautiful wedding day with the readers of New York Weddings Magazine on newsstands now!
We recently photographed Ariane’s beautiful Soho loft for Style Me Pretty Living. Ariane is the face behind two amazing brands, twobirds Bridesmaid and Hatch Collection. See our favorites from the shoot below and more on Style Me Pretty Living’s post.
We cannot wait for this year’s Jazz Age Lawn Party, happening this weekend on Governor’s Island. This will be our third year to attend, and each year it gets better and better. Below are a few photos from last year’s lawn party and click here to see 2011′s Jazz Age Party!
And of course, some polaroids from the day!
