I’ve written and then re-written this blog post…trying to find the right words, but I just couldn’t find them. Being a part of Mandy & Mal’s wedding day in Central Park was one of the favorite moments I’ve had photographing weddings. The day was just beautiful, Mandy & Mal were beautiful, and their families beamed with absolute joy as they celebrated the love these two women have for each other. Mandy & Mal are from South Louisiana, not far from where I grew up. Mandy searched and searched for new york city photographers to shoot their central park vows, and as luck would have it, she found our site. Only later did we realize that we had so many mutual friends. It’s beautiful how life works, and how connected we all. After they said their I-Do’s Mandy & Mal surprised their families with a Louisiana Jazz Brass band to do the traditional New Orleans second line through the streets of the Upper West Side. New Yorkers got a taste of how we do things in the south, and I think they all liked it (a lot).

I so excited to share this beautiful wedding day with the readers of New York Weddings Magazine on newsstands now!
